This week, we wish to give a massive thank you to all our volunteers, both past and present, for their unfailing support of South East 4x4 Response to ensure that we are a very successful organisation in supporting our communities in difficult times and adverse weather throughout Kent and Medway. Many organisations also rely on […]
South East 4x4 Response were at the Kent and Medway Resilience Forum workshop held for parish councillors to help them build a resilient community within their locality. Discussions were held as to how South East 4x4 Response could support along with an explanation as to what we do in times of emergency and inclement weather.
South East 4x4 Response members were more than happy to be supporting Kent Search and Rescue with their fund raising 25k and 50k Challenge Trek. Walkers walked from Chatham Dockyard to Eastwell Manor with a final or half way stop at White Horse Wood at the top of Detling Hill. Well done to all the […]
Members were out supporting the Heart of Kent Hospice annual Bluebell Walk near Harrietsham transporting marshalls and water stations to their respective points at the start of the day. A number of rescue events were carried out collecting those who had sustained injuries whilst walking and bringing them back to the start point. Marshals with […]
For our first event this year we supported the St George's Day Family Fun Day at Sheerness, Isle of Sheppey. A good day was had by all, both the fundraising team and those visiting our stall.
Our fundraising team can be found at many events throughout the year raising funds towards our on going costs to keep our equipment up to date and purchasing new as needed. The team were The Heritage Transport Show at Detling in May. They were also on hand to jump start a vehicle or two.
Following torrential rain prior to the Easter Weekend, South East 4x4 Response members were at Leeds Castle to help visitors in the car park whose vehicles became stuck in the muddy conditions. Several traction assists were carried out to help visitors on their homeward journeys.
South East 4x4 Response members were delighted to support the Heart of Kent Hospice run by closing roads to keep the runners safe whilst the event took place.
Some of our responders joined the Kent Search and Rescue (KSAR) protective road search training so those being trained know how to shield KSAR members carrying out road searches for missing people. A successful outcome for both SE4x4R responders and KSAR search teams.
