Following torrential rain prior to the Easter Weekend, South East 4x4 Response members were at Leeds Castle to help visitors in the car park whose vehicles became stuck in the muddy conditions. Several traction assists were carried out to help visitors on their homeward journeys.

South East 4x4 Response members were delighted to support the Heart of Kent Hospice run by closing roads to keep the runners safe whilst the event took place.
Some of our responders joined the Kent Search and Rescue (KSAR) protective road search training so those being trained know how to shield KSAR members carrying out road searches for missing people. A successful outcome for both SE4x4R responders and KSAR search teams.
South East 4x4 Response carried out familiarisation and emergency training over a 6 hour period in the Medway area both on and off road in some very muddy conditions!

We are extremely grateful to Logistics and Security, Maidstone, who have supported our volunteers with the purchase of fire safety sticks for their vehicles at a special bulk order price.
Our Trailer Replacement/Refit Project has been made possible with a grant from The National Lottery Community Fund. With thanks to National Lottery players and the Government, we have been able to replace and refit our worn out trailer with two new ones which are used for dealing with road closures owing to, for example, fallen trees and supporting evacuation of communities where flooding occurs; providing power and lighting in adverse conditions for incidents away from public roads and supporting our members with extra resources during call outs.
