Kent Police requested support with moving a burnt out vehicle along a byway last night. Two responders attended the scene to drag the burnt out vehicle to a point where the recovery truck could remove the vehicle.
Our responders have been out over the past 2 days in the rain and very chilly conditions, supporting Kent Search and Rescue, in the Canterbury area. Our teams have been providing transport for the Kent Search and Rescue teams to and from a wide range of search areas.
Our volunteers have worked exceptionally hard during 2025, giving their time and vehicle use to the many events we supported during the year along with supporting Kent Search and Rescue searches, training weekends, fundraising, parish council events, self-deployments... to name but a few. Well done everyone and thank you!
There's no stopping our responder volunteers! Between Christmas and New Year, 6 of them were at our sponsor's, The Wright Event, learning about 4 wheel drive systems along with putting into practise what had been learnt during the classroom session.
South East 4x4 Response volunteers were called to help a bearded elderly gentlemen who was stranded in his delivery vehicle in a snowy, forested area. Our members helped push his sleigh out of the snow as his reindeer were exhausted. Hopefully all parcels were delivered on time. Merry Christmas to all our followers!
One of our responders has been out towing Santa's sleigh for the last of his early visits to the Sittingbourne area. Well done to all the volunteers who supported the many sleigh rounds that happened this year bringing joy to all the children in the areas Santa visited.
Thirteen members from South East 4x4 Response supported the Christmas Land Rover Meet at Monkshill run by Pegasus Garage, to raise money for The Salvation Army and Kent Wildlife Trust charities.
