We would like to say thank you for the very kind donation given to us by Borden Wives, a group which includes ladies from both the parishes of Borden and Tunstall, following a talk given by two of our responders on our charitable works across the communities of Medway and Kent.
The fundraising and the event teams were busy all day at the Sittingbourne Christmas Lights event with record crowds attending the tombola and cake stalls. Thank you to all who came to support us, it was an amazing end to our fundraising season. An event enjoyed by all.

Members of South East 4x4 Response joined other emergency service groups at Littlestone to support the RNLI Emergency Services Day. Our volunteers shared what we do as an emergency service along with fundraising to support our equipment needs.

Thank you to Steph and Paul from Todd & Co who have kindly donated a bundle of custom embroidered items to go towards our fundraising. Todd & Co is a family run embroidery business based in Thanet who specialise in workwear and school uniforms.
In spite of the heat, the fundraising team supported the Armed Forces Day event at The Historic Dockyard, Chatham, this week. We had fantastic feedback from both the public and organisers. A great day had by all with the grand total of £1639 raised to start our fundraising year.

One of our winter deployments this year was in and around the village of Yalding, owing to flooding in the area. The residents are always incredibly generous with cups of tea, biscuits and cake to those responders manning road closures during floods. This week, our Chairman, David Mills, assisted by responders Stuart and Cameron, gave a talk to the community about the support we offer within the wider area of Kent and with the emergency services. The Parish Council showed their gratitude by presenting the group with a generous donation of £500 which we were delighted to receive.

Our fundraising team were delighted to support the St George's Day Celebration at Beachfields Park, Sheerness this weekend. Local councillors came to visit our stall too, lovely to welcome them and share what we do as a group.
South East 4x4 Response volunteers braved the icy northerly winds at Detling Heritage Transport Show to begin our year of fundraising for our non-profit charity. A number of our volunteers' 4x4 vehicles were on display for the public to view. People visiting our display chanced their luck with the Tombola to win prizes. We were delighted to swap stickers with two young visitors, one of ours for another stall's sticker from Sticky Monkey.

A wonderful response from visitors to our fundraising stalls at the Sittingbourne Christmas Lights event. Queues formed down the High Street to buy tickets in hope of being one of the many lucky people to win one of our fabulous, very popular, tombola prizes. Our cake stall proved popular too, selling out by the end of the day. Whilst some of the team were manning the fundraising stalls, others were giving out stickers or supporting the Christmas Lights team as marshals for the event. We were, of course, delighted to have a visit from the Mayor.

Our teams have been out throughout the Fireworks season supporting events in Northiam and Danson along with those at Cornwallis Academy and Leeds Castle, covering a variety of roles from closing roads to ensure the safety of Bonfire Society processions, managing parking and offering assistance to those vehicles which found the muddy car park surfaces too difficult to negotiate or had a flat battery for example.
